Dani Bressler, Toepfer Construction Co, Inc.
1. Introduce your company.
Toepfer Construction we serve the Washington, DC, and Baltimore Metro Areas as a Disaster Restoration Specialist, and then go into the next sentence. In 1968, recognizing the need for one provider of disaster restoration and emergency response services, Toepfer Construction expanded its business into insurance restoration. Since then, Toepfer Construction has continued to build an enviable reputation as a successful disaster restoration specialist, expanding services throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.
2. What services does your company offer?
We serve the Washington, DC, and Baltimore Metro Areas as a Disaster Restoration Specialist. Services include 24-hour emergency response to fire, flood, storm damage, and structural damage, water mitigation, mold remediation; complete building restoration, and general contracting services.
3. What are some of the biggest misconceptions about your industry?
If we have an emergency today, the restoration process can start tomorrow. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Once remediation is complete, an estimator will meet with the insurance company to create a scope of work for repairs. The restoration company then has to get the necessary permits to begin the job. While this process can often occur in a reasonable amount of time, there are cases where unavoidable delays can cause a job to take longer than expected. Rest assured, the job will be handled properly every time.
4. What are you doing to help your clients at this point in time?
We have continued to offer 24-hour emergency service throughout the pandemic. Our team has increased our use of PPE to ensure the safety of our employees and customers. In addition, we have shifted our Disaster Preparedness Training to a virtual platform in order to continue the education our customers need.
5. As an AOBA member, what have you done to build your client base and drive the success of your business?
Toepfer Construction has been active in AOBA since 2006. Our Director of Business Development, Dani Bressler, participates in several committees including Community Outreach and Maintenance Mania. She was the past Chair of the Special Events Committee and is a member of the Associate's Leadership Council. Being an active member of AOBA has enabled Toepfer to share its restoration services and training capabilities with other members. We have become a valuable resource to our clients in times of need and preparation for any future needs.
