AOBA Welcomes New Board President and Three New Board Directors
The Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington (AOBA) is pleased to introduce three new members of its Board of Directors: Demi Salteris Alvarado, Anne Clinton, and Jared Gigliotti. Existing member, Mark Benedetti, now leads the Board as President.
The new Board President and Directors were introduced at AOBA's 2023 Annual Meeting on January 19 in Washington, D.C., and are attending their first meeting on Thursday, Jan. 26.
Mark Benedetti, Vice President – Property Management for Blake Real Estate Inc. previously served as a Board Director for 14 years. Mark joined Blake Real Estate in April 2007. He currently leads the Property and Facility Management Group, directing all aspects of property and facility management for the Blake portfolio, as well as for third-party clients and projects. Mark’s more than 25 years of real estate experience includes development and construction, as well as property and asset management and overseeing portfolios of office, retail, multi-family, and hotel properties for institutional and private clients and owners.
Mark welcomed three new directors who will help make policy decisions to guide AOBA’s future.
Demi Salteris Alvarado is currently a Property Manager at Boston Properties. She currently serves as Co-Chair of AOBA’s Emerging Leaders Council, a group of young property management professionals working to advance the next generation of AOBA members. Demi is also a Certified Manager of Commercial Properties and a LEED Green Associate.
Anne Clinton is Senior Vice President, Regional Counsel for the Mid-Atlantic Region of Brookfield Properties—US Office Division, where she has worked for over a decade. She has primary legal oversight for more than 2.5 million square feet of Class A commercial space in DC, MD, VA and PA. Anne is a founding member of the Brookfield Properties Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council and the DC chapter of the Brookfield Women’s Network. Anne is a graduate of Leadership Montgomery (Core-2015) and has served on AOBA’s METPAC committee for many years.
Jared Gigliotti is a Managing Director – Residential Property Management at Lerner Enterprises. Jared is an active AOBA member and is a LEED Green Associate. He currently serves as Chair of AOBA’s Virginia Government Affairs Committee and has previously served as a Board member.
