Building Operations and Engineering Workforce Roundtable:
Current Challenges, Evolving Roles and Jobs of the Future
The jobs associated with building engineering, operations, and maintenance have significantly evolved in recent years and will continue to change dramatically thanks to improving technologies and an increased focus on sustainability practices. Join the AOBA Educational Foundation and the Building Innovation Hub for a roundtable discussion on current challenges in building operations workforce development, the future of engineering and maintenance careers, and the role sustainability will play in these professions going forward.
Hear from experts in allied professions and connect with peers to share success stories, discuss challenges, and learn what others are planning to overcome these challenges. A panel discussion will perspectives of chief engineers, senior property and asset managers, and training providers followed by a roundtable discussion about what you're seeing for the future of the building engineer workforce.
We want this event to serve as an interactive discussion. Come ready with your success stories, challenges you’re facing, and your thoughts on the future of these excellent careers.
As we will discuss the need for ongoing staff training as these roles evolve, attendees will be entered into multiple drawings for $500 in scholarship funds that may be used by attendees or their teams for education and training programming from AOBA.
