Professional Bio
Chris Pendley is the Director of Sustainability Policy and Strategy for AOBA. In this role he advises the government affairs, policy, and communications teams on matters related to sustainability. Chris also serves as an advisor for AOBA members on matters related to sustainability, helping members navigate the regulatory and technological environment.
Chris has worked in the Mid-Atlantic built environment for 17 years, most recently at Steven Winter Associates and before that at Boland Trane. Through this work, Chris accumulated knowledge on translating policy and regulation into action plans, building systems and how they interact and work together, metering and data analytics, project validation, and process and program management. Chris worked as a Senior Building Systems Engineer for Steven Winter Associates (SWA) since 2021. Chris also served on the Montgomery County Climate Action Plan Committee on the Buildings subgroup.
Chris graduated as an Electrical Engineer from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee.
