Professional Bio
Bismah Ahmed is the Vice President of Virginia Government Affairs for AOBA. In this role she serves as one of AOBA’s two registered lobbyists before the Virginia General Assembly, executive agencies and local governments in Northern Virginia.
Ms. Ahmed comes from an impressive background in Virginia politics. Her most recent position was at the Policy Office of current Virginia Governor, Terry McAuliffe, where she researched current Virginia policy and developed strategies to reach a wide range of communities, ensuring their inclusion on policy development. Prior to that, Ms. Ahmed served as an aide to Delegate Rich Anderson of Prince William County during the 2014 legislative session in Richmond. Ms. Ahmed has also served as a research assistant with Attorney General Mark Herring, where she assisted with campaign operations for his Political Action Committee, One Commonwealth.
Ms. Ahmed received her Bachelors Degree in English from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
