Charles Kirk

Mr. Kirk is a Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, with over two decades of experience in engineering consulting, project management, and commissioning. He began his tenure at TRC Engineering in 2008 as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and became a Principal of the firm in 2021.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kirk has delivered comprehensive design and consulting services for commercial and residential buildings, including central plant renovations, cooling and heating systems, and piping evaluations. He specializes in troubleshooting and resolving building system issues, emphasizing high-efficiency mechanical solutions that significantly reduce energy consumption. Complementing his mechanical expertise, Mr. Kirk also led environmental remediation initiatives at Lorton Correctional Facilities, where he oversaw upgrades to petroleum storage systems and managed soil cleanup projects—experience that further honed his project management skills and commitment to sustainable, compliant practices.
Mr. Kirk has additionally served as Lead Mechanical Engineer, providing forensic engineering services to a luxury condominium complex, and acted as Lead Consultant and owner’s representative for multiple high-rise condominium projects, reinforcing his holistic approach to engineering challenges.
