AOBA Welcomes Ryan Washington
AOBA is pleased to announce Ryan Washington has joined AOBA as Maryland Government Affairs Manager. Ryan will work alongside Erin Bradley, AOBA’s Maryland Vice President of Government Affairs, to advance members’ advocacy interests at the State level and in Prince George’s County.
Before joining AOBA, Ryan had the opportunity to enhance the lives of fellow Marylanders through his professional work on the local, state, and federal levels by working for State Delegate Ron Watson, Ph.D. (D-23B), Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD), and most recently, Congressman David J. Trone (D-MD-06).
Ryan is a two-time graduate of Bowie State University, earning his Bachelor of Science in History and Government in 2018, and recently, his Master of Public Administration in May of 2020. He is a board member of the Maryland Chapter of the New Leaders Council (NLC) and serves as the Alumni Engagement Chair, and is an active brother of the Iota Upsilon Lambda Chapter Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
“We are excited Ryan has joined AOBA’s Government Affairs team led by Senior Vice President, Nicola Whiteman, Esq. His strong background in Maryland politics will have an immediate impact on our Maryland advocacy strategies,” said AOBA Executive Vice President Margaret “Peggy” Jeffers.
