2009 Green Conference and Resource Center
Nearly 200 members participated in AOBA's 2009 Green Conference and Resource Center on Sept. 30 at the Capital Hilton. The Conference's theme, "Taking Sustainability to the Next Level" was underscored through breakout sessions geared to commercial and multifamily executives. A unique afternoon session focused on helping apartment building managers find effective ways for their residents to adopt more environmental practices. Special thanks to Conference sponsors: AOBA Alliance, Inc.; Dominion Resources; Healthy Buildings International, Inc.; ISS Facility Services and Washington Gas.

Pictured: Conference speakers discussed national trends, cap and trade, and regional environmental mandates. From left to right are: Jay Fisette, Arlington County Board; Thomas James, GSA's Public Buildings Service; and Eileen Lee, National Multi Housing Council.
