Membership by Association, Literally

It's a real deal! Most members of AOBA automatically receive the diverse membership benefits offered by our two, prestigious federated organizations, Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA), and the National Apartment Association (NAA).

BOMA membership is on an individual basis; AOBA members (depending on membership level) receive 1 to 3 BOMA representatives. NAA membership is corporate; most AOBA key representatives are entitled to NAA benefits. (Associate AOBA members pay a small additional fee for NAA membership.)

Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA)

BOMA's mission is to enhance the human, intellectual and physical assets of the commercial real estate industry through advocacy, education, research, standards and information.

BOMA International represents 92 local associations (including AOBA) throughout the United States and 12 international affiliates. The organization's 16,500-plus individual members own or manage more than nine billion square feet of commercial properties in North America.

Benefits of BOMA Membership

Advocacy - BOMA is the leader in commercial real estate advocacy keeping members abreast of key legislative, regulatory, and codes and standards issues at both the national and state level.

Education – BOMA University provides a wealth of knowledge and solutions, in a variety of media. You can learn in traditional classroom settings, or you can learn at your desk, via audio seminars or eSeminars. BOMA also offers customized education.

Research - BOMA International collects and disseminates timely and critical research and information to the office building industry.

National Apartment Association (NAA)

NAA is America's leading advocate for quality rental housing. NAA's mission is to serve the interests of multifamily housing owners, managers, developers and suppliers and maintain a high level of professionalism in the multifamily housing industry to better serve the rental housing needs of the public. NAA supports an industry that offers safe, affordable multifamily housing to the public, equitably compensates its workforce, and provides investors with a fair and reasonable rate of return.

NAA is a federation of nearly 200 state and local affiliates, comprised of more than 51,000 multifamily housing companies representing more than 6.1 million apartment homes throughout the United States and Canada.

Through a joint legislative alliance with the National Multi Housing Council, NAA protects and represents its members' interests on legislative and regulatory issues at the federal government level. NAA's education initiatives include six nationally-recognized designation programs. In addition, NAA offers the industry's premiere education conference and trade show, attracting thousands of multifamily housing professionals seeking education, networking and business opportunities.
